From June to August I stayed on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica and completely reset my life. It was an amazing summer filled with sun, beaches, animals, a new culture and much more.

Although the sand is black, it’s the softest most glittery sand ever. It’s beautiful…

The sounds.
Below are the sounds I would hear regularly. From howler monkeys, to large insects, to beautiful chirping from birds in the jungle. It was a lot for the senses, but I would not trade the experience for anything.

Various rainforest sounds..
The howler monkeys lived in my backyard and often slept right outside my window. They also woke me up at 4:55am sharp for two weeks straight at one point. 😩😩
The white faced monkeys moved around more.
So refreshing…
Staying in the middle of the jungle was an amazing sometimes scary experience, but I loved the change of scenery.
